Staff Sergeant Thomas Drew joined the Soldiers' Chorus in 2024. He earned a Master’s Degree from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, both in voice. He also holds a Performance Certificate from Southern Methodist University and an Artist Certificate from the University of Missouri Kansas City, during which time he worked as an Apprentice Artist at the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. SSG Drew grew up in the United Kingdom where he earned a Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in piano performance, studied violin and piano at the Junior Royal Academy of Music, choired at Grimsby Minster, and performed both violin and piano concertos with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra. SSG Drew received an Encouragement Award from The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and the Puccini Award from the Orpheus Vocal Competition.
